The international and interactive workshop is designed to explore the fundamental properties of nanoscale heterostructures and potential device applications, taking place on big island of Hawaii since many years dating back to the 1980s. Chaired this year by Detlef Grützmacher (Jülich) together with the US-, Japan- and Europe Co-Chairs, the workshop was covering a broad range of topics including special sessions on quantum science: topology, chirality, computation and sensing, 2D and 1D van der Wals materials and heterostructures, and energy conversion/energy efficient information technology.
Dominik presented an invited talk "Spin-orbit qubits in silicon and germanium" introducing also the Swiss quantum computing program with Si and Ge spins, the NCCR SPIN. Thanks to the organizers and all participants for a great meeting.
