The European Microkelvin Platform in Europhysics News
The latest (June 2021) issue of the EuroPhysics News features a focus series on Low Temperature Physics with a broad pallette of the many different areas of research, like flavors of ice cream (photo). Christian Enss (Heidelberg), the coordinator of the European Microkelvin Platform (EMP), wrote the lead column, where also our spin-off Basel Precision Instruments GmbH is mentioned. In this first part of the series, articles on Quantum Thermodynamics (Pekola, Aalto)., Cryogenic Detectors (Pretzl, Bern) and Dark Matter Searches (Baudis, Zurich), Quantum Turbulence (Barenghi, Newcastle, and Skrbek, Prague).
