Support for a Swiss Quantum Initiative
Quantum science and technology is a high-impact and strongly growing field with great potential to contribute profoundly to economic growth and society. There is rapid progress and increasing acceleration of quantum R&D in neighboring countries and across the world. Numerous national programs on an unprecedented scale have already started and are picking up speed. In contrast, Switzerland does not currently have such a large-scale initiative and is falling behind. Further, the recent exclusion of Switzerland from the EU research programs is leading to a decline of funding and networking.
For these reasons, we are collecting signatures in support of what we hope to become a grassroots initiative for a broad and sweeping new Swiss Quantum Program. PIs or group leaders working on a quantum topic at a Swiss institution (academic, company, RTO, etc) are eligible to sign the letter using this Google form.
