The 50th conference on the Physics and Chemistry of Surfaces and Interfaces, organized by the American Vacuum Society (AVS), took place in Kona-Kailua on the beautiful big island of Hawai. Co-chaired by Chris Palmstrom (UCSB) and Paul Koenraad (TUE), the meeting was featuring a broad range of physical, chemical, biological, structural, optical, magnetic, and electrical properties of surfaces and interfaces.

Dominik was invited to present some of the activities of the Swiss quantum computing program with Si and Ge spins, the NCCR SPIN, with a special focus on the role of surfaces and interfaces... in the evening rump session, made highly interactive with liquid incentives for each question asked. Thanks to the organizers, the co-panelists, and all participants for an engaging and very insightful meeting.
